Nexus focuses on selected Windows preferences, background activity, startup applications and gaming profiles. The available options depend on your Windows version and the Nexus release. Review each change in the app before applying it.
There is no guaranteed FPS increase. Reducing background activity may help when your PC is resource-constrained, but results depend on hardware, drivers, Windows configuration, running applications and the game workload. Nexus cannot replace a hardware upgrade.
Supported optimizations can be reviewed and reversed from Restore Center. Create a recovery snapshot before system-level changes and keep your own backups. Restoring a setting does not recover files you have deleted.
Nexus is designed for Windows 10 and Windows 11. Individual optimizations depend on your Windows build, hardware and available permissions. Check the requirements included with your downloaded release.
Monitoring and automatic game detection require Nexus to remain running. Your selected profile determines which background features stay active during a gaming session.
Gaming profiles should keep Windows security protections enabled. Disabling antivirus, firewall or system integrity protections is not part of the default optimization approach. Review custom settings before applying them.
An older PC may benefit from fewer unnecessary startup apps and less background activity. The improvement depends on the bottleneck. Nexus does not add physical RAM, GPU power or capabilities your hardware does not support.
Let Nexus handle the rest.
