NEXUS SETUP GUIDE

From purchase to your next game.

Windows 10 / 11 · Account, activation and everyday controls

Set up your license, choose what Nexus applies and check the result in Activity.

1. Activate your license

  1. Open My Account using the account you purchased with.
  2. After payment is confirmed, check Your licenses. If you received a separate license key, use Add a license to link it first.
  3. Download Nexus, then open Nexus.exe from your downloads.
  4. Sign in to the Windows application with the same account, select your license and activate your PC.

Each license covers one PC. A new time-limited license starts at first activation in the Windows app; a renewal extends existing access under the terms shown at checkout.

2. Payment confirmed, email still missing?

PayPal confirmation and email delivery are separate steps. The checkout return page shows a payment awaiting confirmation. My Account → My orders lists confirmed purchases, your license and its email status. Received payments needing support review appear in a separate notice. Use Resend license email to request another copy at your verified account address.

  1. Check the payment status in My orders or on the checkout return page. A pending order is not yet confirmed.
  2. Check My Account and your Spam folder. Use the same Nexus account as at checkout.
  3. If it remains pending or the key is missing after confirmation, open a support ticket with your order reference. Do not include your password or payment card details.

You can activate using the key in your account while waiting for email. Do not purchase again just to retry delivery.

3. Enable automatic game optimization

  1. In Nexus, enable Detect supported games.
  2. Enable Apply gaming profile on game detection. Detection alone only identifies the game.
  3. Review the Windows and FPS settings you want enabled. Leave Nexus running, then launch the game.
  4. Open Activity to see the detected game and the operation results.

Nexus recognizes supported executable names, including Metin2, and games in supported store installation paths. Custom launchers or renamed clients may need the actual game executable selected manually.

Automatic optimization applies once per game session and waits when another Nexus operation is busy. Some graphics preferences take effect only after restarting the game. Network tweaks are not part of automatic game optimization.

4. Understand your memory workspace

Open Performance → Memory to review optional background apps and the latest memory report. Automatic app management follows your gaming settings; manually closing optional apps is a separate choice.

Memory Result separates available RAM before the session, immediately after it and at the two-minute follow-up. App activity lists confirmed exits and apps that were still running. A pending follow-up means that the later reading is not available yet.

These are system-wide observations. Windows and other applications can use memory between readings; the report does not measure FPS or prove that Nexus caused every change.

RAM Guard watches memory pressure and can trim eligible background working sets when its conditions are met. Trimmed pages may return. Save your work before allowing apps to close; Restore does not reopen them or recover unsaved documents.

Choose what starts with Windows

  1. Open Tools → Startup and refresh the list.
  2. Review the app name, publisher and current status.
  3. Use Enable or Disable for a supported entry, or select several entries for a group action.
  4. Review Activity for the confirmed result. Supported original states are saved for Restore.

Disabling a startup entry changes whether it launches with Windows. It does not uninstall the app or close an already running process. Policy-managed or unsupported entries may be read-only.

Startup impact is shown as unavailable when Windows has not supplied a usable measurement.

5. Restore supported changes

  1. Open Restore in Nexus and use the saved snapshot.
  2. Wait for completion and check Activity for any item needing attention.
  3. If a service is still changing state, let it finish before retrying Restore.

The Nexus snapshot stores supported original settings. It is not a full Windows backup and cannot recover files removed by cleanup.

6. Check whether it helps your PC

Compare the same game, server, graphics settings and background workload. Observe frame times, stutters and the application's own CPU and memory usage alongside FPS.

Activity confirms which settings were applied; it does not prove a performance gain. No fixed FPS increase, RAM reduction or network latency improvement is guaranteed.

If a feature causes stutters, turn it off and compare again under the same conditions. Send Support the Nexus version, game name and relevant Activity entries.

7. Find your way around Nexus

Overview brings together your system readings and gaming profile. Open Performance for Optimization, Automation, Tweaks and Power. Open Tools for Services, Cleanup, Windows, Network, Startup and Apps.

In Tweaks, review the current state and the proposed change before applying. Apps includes a curated library and a search of the full WinGet source; review the package ID and publisher before installation. Windows Package Manager must be available on your PC.

Use Activity to review confirmed, unchanged or incomplete operations. Restore covers supported saved settings; it does not uninstall downloaded apps or recover deleted files.

8. Understand the game overlay

The overlay shows available game frame readings and system CPU usage while Nexus is running. Frame time is not a measurement of mouse or keyboard latency.

Availability depends on the game, display mode and Windows frame data. Some games in exclusive fullscreen hide external overlays. Use fullscreen windowed if the bar is not visible. Unavailable FPS readings are shown as unavailable, rather than an estimated performance gain.

If the readings stop, include the game, display mode, Nexus version and relevant Activity entries in a support ticket.
